A high-quality knife should only be used on a proper cutting board that is friendly to the blade. The advantage of a wood fiber board is not only the preservation of the knife blade but also the maintenance-free and moisture-resistant properties. A cutting board made from biofiber can be safely washed in the dishwasher and does not need to be sanded or oiled like a traditional solid wood board.

The board is much thinner than traditional wood boards and may initially feel hard under the knife, but softens quickly with use, making it gentler on the blade compared to a plastic cutting board. The heat resistance of compressed wood fiber is also significantly higher than that of a traditional wooden board, allowing it to be used as a trivet. Biofiber boards have received NSF approval, meeting strict hygiene requirements. The board measures 24 x 14 cm and is 6.5 mm thick.

Any scratches that occur on the surface of the board during use can be removed with fine sandpaper, but this is often unnecessary as the scratches are only a cosmetic nuisance.
